Love is
"Love bears all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things,
endures all things." (1 Corinthians 13:7-8)
Oh I am so excited about the upcoming holidays! Everything about Thanksgiving makes me get so excited that it's difficult to get a good night's sleep (seriously). I love the smells, the family and friends, the half day at school when my kids are super excited, being able to wake up with my husband on Thanksgiving morning and cook him breakfast and watch the Thanksgiving Day parade in my pajamas, and this year and I especially excited and OVERJOYED that my family from Alabama are coming!! I have not seen them since Labor Day due to sickness, so I'm about to explode! We also cannot forget about the black Friday shopping!! I'm just looking forward to do much fun next week!! I have so much to be thankful for!
My Aunt and Uncle along with two younger cousins (whom I consider my niece and nephew) just recently moved to Birmingham Alabama. It's been really hard on me emotionally, because in my spare time I would enjoy going to get the kids to bring to the our house to stay with us, or just spending the afternoon shopping with Lauren (the oldest--she's 10). Lawson (the youngest is 5 1/2 and just started Kindergarten and it is hard on me because I'm not there to share his first year of school. I enjoyed picking up Lauren from school when she was in Kindergarten and doing special things with her when school was over. I miss several things when it comes to my family being away. My aunt is more like an older sister to me. I love her dearly and could talk to her daily. We're all very close...they just came up for the labor day weekend and I could not have been happier to have them up here! We also currently have family from California here with us as well. It's been an very busy labor day weekend needless to say. It was extremely difficult for me to see them leave, so we have decided to go and visit in October when I am out of school. My parents just recently bought a motor home so we are all excited about traveling down to Alabama to visit again with our long lost family! (Notice the picture of Lauren and Lawson to the left...how could you resist these kids??)
Well, here we are. Meet the Huskeys! I hope you enjoy meeting us and enjoy going through our blog. Hopefully, we'll have more to add soon!! Thank you for visiting!! Come back soon!
As of today, The Huskey's have been married for 2 years and 2 months!! As for me... I could not be happier and I thank God everyday for sending me Stephen! He's my rock and my best friend! I would not want to spend my life without him in it! Thank you God for all of the many blessings in our life!
Here is a picture of our home. We've actually lived here for 14 months now. It's hard to believe, but we are loving every bit of being homeowners!! I love to decorate and Stephen loves to landscape and do yard work and various things around the house. We're making this house into a home for sure!!
