My Aunt and Uncle along with two younger cousins (whom I consider my niece and nephew) just recently moved to Birmingham Alabama. It's been really hard on me emotionally, because in my spare time I would enjoy going to get the kids to bring to the our house to stay with us, or just spending the afternoon shopping with Lauren (the oldest--she's 10). Lawson (the youngest is 5 1/2 and just started Kindergarten and it is hard on me because I'm not there to share his first year of school. I enjoyed picking up Lauren from school when she was in Kindergarten and doing special things with her when school was over. I miss several things when it comes to my family being away. My aunt is more like an older sister to me. I love her dearly and could talk to her daily. We're all very close...they just came up for the labor day weekend and I could not have been happier to have them up here! We also currently have family from California here with us as well. It's been an very busy labor day weekend needless to say. It was extremely difficult for me to see them leave, so we have decided to go and visit in October when I am out of school. My parents just recently bought a motor home so we are all excited about traveling down to Alabama to visit again with our long lost family! (Notice the picture of Lauren and Lawson to the left...how could you resist these kids??)
